The fundamentals didn’t get harder
Search still cares about crawlability, clear titles, honest descriptions, share images that aren’t 80KB of confusion, and not serving soft-404s to robots.
What got harder is the tooling marketplace around those basics.
Built-in beats bolted-on
Forma generates /robots.txt and /sitemap.xml (including images when you want). Per-page SEO fields cover title, description, OG, canonical, robots, schema. Sitewide defaults fill the gaps. A health score nags you about missing favicons and empty descriptions.
Redirects live in the CMS, not in a forgotten .htaccess paste from 2019.
What still matters
- One clear H1
- Descriptions humans would click
- Images with real dimensions for social
- Don’t
noindexyourself by accident - Fix hosting so
/uploadsactually serves files (yes, we’re looking at you, leftover rewrite rules)
Agents help here too
The same Agent API that edits pages can bulk-fix SEO fields after a content pass. Just don’t let an agent invent keyword salad — your brand voice is the ranking signal you control.
